PFT recently completed its third GK tour travelling to the UK and Spain. The two previous trips only visited the UK but this tour spent 10 days in the UK visiting football clubs, seeing games, doing stadium tours and completing some sightseeing as well as spending 10 days in Spain.
We arrived in the UK during the Easter weekend which meant that unfortunately there were no EPL games to watch, however, thanks to long-time friend of PFT Eric Steele we were able to watch 2 games of the U17’s English team (against Turkey & Ukraine). Our time in the UK was filled with many training sessions at clubs such as Liverpool FC & Derby County FC (to name a few), watching professional games, stadium tours and, of course, sightseeing.
During the Spanish visit we based ourselves in Nerja, a town 45minutes from Malaga in southern Spain. As in the UK, in Spain we also trained with some local clubs/coaches, watched games, completed stadium tours and also did some sightseeing.
As we started our 27 hour journey home, really exhausted, we were collectively very happy to have spent 20 days away on an amazing football experience. The boys all really got along well, helped and supported each other everyday. PFT is very proud of the lads as we got, almost daily, compliments on the boys behaviour and manners from many guests and staff from the hotels we stayed at.
We would like to thank all the kids for being such fantastic individuals and great company as well as an amazing group of people.
